Helping leaders maximize their potential

Welcome to 2026
Want to crush your goals in 2026? Do you start out strong but fall into the same old patterns? Forget about New Year’s resolutions and sign up for this motivating seminar instead.
Saying No in 2026
The best way to accomplish things that truly matter is to start saying no to things that do not. Be absolutely ruthless in this pursuit. Saying yes to something that is nothing more than a distraction is the same as saying no to important things. Only work on things that will actually move the needle. Check yourself daily, even hourly if necessary.
Micromanagement
When micromanaged, team members feel undervalued, underappreciated, and question their problem-solving abilities. This is incredibly demotivating. If you are a manager, take a step back and reflect. Are you guilty of micromanaging your team? Why do you think that is? Is more training for team members necessary? Have you made a bad hire? Are your expectations clear? Or, is this a “you” problem and you need to relinquish some control and let your team do their jobs?
Leaders and AI
AI use and readiness starts with people, not the technology itself. Are you prepared to lead your team through changes driven by AI? Harvard Business Review says, “AI is already being integrated into organizational strategies, operations, and workflows. The role of leaders goes far beyond facilitating AI implementation. They must fully appreciate AI’s potential and be able to bridge the gap between technological capabilities and strategic goals. They also need to foster a culture that embraces AI’s potential to complement human creativity, decision making, and innovation.” Are you ready?
Avoiding the Perfection Trap
Are you a perfectionist? If so, I recommend not wearing it like a badge of honor, because it is not. Perfectionism can be disguised as procrastination for many. Is this the case for you? In addition, when you spend too much time on one idea, you often become too emotionally invested to change course when the data tells you to. There is a difference between a healthy drive for excellence and an obsession with perfection. Is being a perfectionist actually decreasing your overall productivity?

Book of the Week
There’s Got to Be a Better Way is a very well-written book that will change the way you think about your job. One reviewer called it, “the most useful book on creating enduring organizational change I have ever read.” The authors use what they call dynamic work design to illustrate simple but effective methods to increase productivity, human connection, and ultimately profits. Grab a copy to start 2026.
